Ingredients

  • Linguine - 200 grams
  • Lobster meat - 200 grams, cooked and chopped
  • Heavy cream - 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Shallot - 1, finely chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the shallot and garlic, sautéing until translucent and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the lemon juice, then add the chopped lobster meat, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  4. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the sauce seems too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley. Adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve immediately.
