- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 small, diced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Crushed red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) - 30 grams
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground lamb to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season the lamb mixture with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the lamb and garlic mixture. Toss to combine and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
