  • Ground beef (kosher) - 250 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Onion, chopped - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Tomato sauce - 400 grams (1 can)
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional) - 30 grams

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the beef sauce, tossing gently to coat the pasta evenly.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
