- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to combine.
- Gradually add the reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until the desired sauce consistency is achieved.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper, mixing until the cheese is melted and the pasta is well coated.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
