Steps
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Once the pasta is done, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic, along with the reserved pasta water.
- Toss the pasta in the skillet to coat it with the garlic oil, then add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- Continue to toss until the cheese is melted and the pasta is evenly coated.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
