Steps
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the duck breast with salt and black pepper, then place it skin-side down in the skillet.
- Sear the duck for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until medium rare. Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until they are caramelized and golden brown.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the soy sauce and honey, mixing well. If the mixture is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the onion mixture, ensuring the pasta is well coated.
- Slice the duck breast and arrange it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
