Ingredients

  • Pasta (spaghetti or linguine) - 160 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Fresh dill (chopped) - 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (grated, optional) - 30 grams

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and add it directly to the skillet with the garlic.
  5. Add the chopped dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper to the pasta, tossing everything together to combine.
  6. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
