Ingredients
- Spaghetti - 150 grams
- Fresh crab meat - 150 grams
- Yellow onion - 1 medium, diced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
- Once the spaghetti is done, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the onions and garlic. Gently toss in the crab meat, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. If the mixture seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to taste. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
