Ingredients

  • Spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Crab meat (fresh or canned) - 150 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  5. Add the crab meat to the skillet, gently folding it into the garlic oil mixture, and heat for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the crab.
  7. Toss the pasta with the crab and garlic mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
  8. Finish with lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to taste, mixing everything well before serving.
