Ingredients
- Pasta (e.g., fettuccine) - 200 grams
- Beef (ground or diced) - 250 grams
- Onion (medium-sized) - 1, thinly sliced
- Garlic (cloves) - 2, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
- Beef broth - 120 milliliters
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Parsley (fresh, chopped) - 2 tablespoons for garnish
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they begin to caramelize, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the beef, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, stirring to combine. Season with black pepper and salt to taste. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine with the beef and onion mixture. Keep on heat for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
