Ingredients

  • Pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fettuccine) - 170 grams
  • Beef sirloin, thinly sliced - 200 grams
  • Broccoli florets - 150 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 3 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 120 ml
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with cornstarch, a tablespoon of soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the pan and pour in the remaining soy sauce and water. Stir well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the beef and broccoli mixture, tossing everything together to ensure the pasta is coated in the sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
