- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (optional for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg with lemon juice.
- Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.
- Dredge each tilapia fillet in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured fillet into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Finally, press the fillet into the panko breadcrumbs, covering it completely and pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the fillets to help them crisp up while baking.
