Ingredients

  • Unsweetened applesauce - 1/4 cup
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons, melted
  • Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts - 2 tablespoons
  • Dark chocolate chips - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the honey, applesauce, and melted coconut oil until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts and dark chocolate chips.
  6. Using a tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
