- Rolled oats - 1 cup
- Almonds (chopped) - 1/4 cup
- Walnuts (chopped) - 1/4 cup
- Sunflower seeds - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1/4 cup
- Peanut butter - 2 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Dark chocolate chips - 2 tablespoons (optional)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped almonds, chopped walnuts, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, mix together honey and peanut butter until smooth and combined. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the honey-peanut butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well until everything is evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it firmly into an even layer.
- If using, sprinkle dark chocolate chips on top and gently press them into the mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan before lifting it out and cutting it into bars.
