Ingredients

  • Fresh nettle leaves - 50 grams
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey (optional) - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Wearing gloves, rinse the fresh nettle leaves thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or impurities.
  2. Bring 500 ml of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  3. Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed nettle leaves to the saucepan.
  4. Reduce the heat and let the nettles steep for about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the tea into cups using a fine mesh strainer.
  6. Add lemon juice to each cup and stir well. If desired, sweeten with honey.
