Ingredients
- 2 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 2 slices of white bread
- 4 pickle slices
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken thighs and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix together flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and coat thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken thighs skin-side down.
- Fry the chicken for about 7-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve the hot chicken on slices of white bread, topped with pickle slices.
