Ingredients

  • Button mushrooms - 200 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh thyme - 1 teaspoon, chopped
  • Slider buns - 4 small
  • Cheddar cheese - 2 slices, halved
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 leaves, torn
  • Tomato - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and chopped mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are browned and any moisture has evaporated.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme. Cook for another 2 minutes until everything is well combined.
  4. While the mushroom mixture cooks, lightly toast the slider buns in a separate pan or oven until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the sliders by placing a generous spoonful of the mushroom mixture on the bottom half of each bun, topping with a half slice of cheddar cheese, a piece of lettuce, and a slice of tomato.
  6. Cover with the top half of the buns and serve warm.
