Ingredients

  • Portobello mushrooms - 2 large

  • Whole grain burger buns - 2
  • Ripe avocado - 1
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Roma tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Brush the portobello mushrooms with the olive oil mixture on both sides.
  4. Place the mushrooms on the grill, gill side down, and cook for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Flip the mushrooms and grill for another 5-7 minutes, until tender and juicy.
