- Swiss cheese - 2 slices
- Mushrooms (sliced) - 150 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and cook until they are golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- While the mushrooms are cooking, form the ground beef into 2 equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat another skillet over medium-high heat and cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- Once the cheese is melted, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To assemble, place each beef patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with sautéed mushrooms, and add mustard if desired.
- Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy!
