Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Swiss cheese - 2 slices
  • Mushrooms (sliced) - 150 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
  • Mustard - 1 tablespoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and cook until they are golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  3. While the mushrooms are cooking, form the ground beef into 2 equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat another skillet over medium-high heat and cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  6. Once the cheese is melted, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  7. To assemble, place each beef patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with sautéed mushrooms, and add mustard if desired.
  8. Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy!
