- Celery - 1 stalk, diced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh thyme - 1 teaspoon, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Bay leaf - 1
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 4 cups (approximately 1 liter)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced carrots and celery to the pot, and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
