- Water - 500 ml
- Butter - 30 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cajun seasoning - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, shredded
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a saucepan, bring 500 ml of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and gradually whisk in the corn grits. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- While the grits are cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 30 grams of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
