- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh mint - 15 grams, chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cucumber - 50 grams, finely diced
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Form the lamb mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
- While the patties are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and diced cucumber to create the yogurt sauce.
- Once the patties are cooked, toast the whole wheat burger buns in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lamb patty on each bun, adding a dollop of yogurt sauce, and topping with sliced tomato and lettuce.
