Ingredients

  • Ground turkey - 300 grams
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Marinara sauce - 300 grams
  • Fresh basil, chopped - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 12 equal-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and add them to the marinara sauce, allowing them to simmer together for 2-3 minutes.
