- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Almond flour - 30 grams
- Parmesan cheese - 20 grams, grated
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Marinara sauce - 240 ml (low sugar)
- Fresh basil - for garnish (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, almond flour, grated Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 2.5 cm in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warm.
- Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and gently add them to the warm marinara sauce.
- Simmer the meatballs in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
