  • Almond flour - 30 grams
  • Parmesan cheese - 20 grams, grated
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Marinara sauce - 240 ml (low sugar)
  • Fresh basil - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, almond flour, grated Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 2.5 cm in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warm.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and gently add them to the warm marinara sauce.
  7. Simmer the meatballs in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
