Ingredients

  • lump crab meat - 250 grams
  • gluten-free breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • green onion, finely chopped - 1 tablespoon
  • Old Bay seasoning - 1 teaspoon
  • egg - 1 large
  • salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, gluten-free breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, green onion, Old Bay seasoning, egg, salt, and black pepper until just mixed, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a patty.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve the crab cakes warm with lemon wedges and your choice of dipping sauce.
