Ingredients

  • Tempeh - 200 grams
  • Maple syrup - 2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Slice the tempeh into 1/2-inch thick pieces and add it to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Once marinated, place the tempeh slices on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the tempeh is heated through.
  5. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
