Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Maple syrup - 3 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm thick slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the glaze.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  4. Brush the tofu slices with the maple mustard glaze on both sides.
  5. Place the tofu on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, basting with more glaze halfway through, until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
