- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon

- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Granulated sugar - 1/3 cup (67g)
- Egg - 1 large
- Milk - 1/2 cup (120ml)
- Unsalted butter - 2 tablespoons (28g), melted
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Cooked bacon - 4 strips, chopped
- Maple syrup - 1/4 cup (60ml)
- Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup (60g)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a donut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine the granulated sugar, egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped bacon gently into the batter.
- Spoon the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the donuts are baking, prepare the maple glaze by whisking together maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Once the donuts are done, let them cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.
- Dip the top of each donut into the maple glaze and allow excess to drip off.
