- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, shredded
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Pickles - 50 grams, sliced
- Avocado - 1/2, sliced
- Lettuce leaves (Romaine or Iceberg) - 4 large leaves
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the patties to melt.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To assemble the burgers, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf. Top with slices of tomato, pickles, and avocado.
- Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and serve immediately.
