Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, shredded
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Pickles - 50 grams, sliced
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves (Romaine or Iceberg) - 4 large leaves
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the patties to melt.
  5. Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf. Top with slices of tomato, pickles, and avocado.
  7. Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and serve immediately.
