- cooked lentils - 1 cup
- rolled oats - 1/2 cup
- grated carrot - 1/2 cup
- chopped onion - 1/4 cup
- minced garlic - 2 cloves
- ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- burger buns - 2
- sliced tomato - 1 medium
- lettuce leaves - 2
Steps
- In a large bowl, mash the cooked lentils with a fork until partially smooth.
- Add the rolled oats, grated carrot, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, black pepper, olive oil, and chopped parsley to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and heated through.
