  • Lemon juice - 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Olive oil - 15 ml (1 tablespoon)
  • Water - 60 ml (1/4 cup)
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Paprika - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and ground cumin.
  2. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Gradually add water while blending until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with additional olive oil and sprinkle paprika on top for garnish.
