- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the scallops to the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and opaque in the center. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
