Steps
- Peel the potatoes and onion, then grate them using a box grater or food processor.
- Place the grated potatoes and onion in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, onion, egg, flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, mixing until well combined.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture and form small bites (about 2 tablespoons each) and carefully place them in the hot oil.
- Fry the latke bites for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
