- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cucumber - 1/2, grated
- Greek yogurt (full-fat) - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, dried oregano, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a burger patty, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the lamb patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach a desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a bowl, mix grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and chopped dill. Stir until well combined and season with salt to taste.
- Once the burgers are cooked, let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve each patty wrapped in lettuce leaves with a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce on top.
