Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 2

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 2.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the lamb patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt with lemon juice in a small bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lamb patty on each bun, then topping with yogurt sauce, sliced cucumber, tomato, red onion, and lettuce leaves.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite side dish.
