- Eggs - 4 large
- Heavy cream - 120 ml
- Fresh spinach - 150 g, chopped
- Cheddar cheese - 100 g, grated
- Cream cheese - 50 g, softened
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, cream cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Stir in the sautéed spinach and half of the grated cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch (23 cm) pie dish or quiche pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
