- Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 300 grams
- Broccoli florets - 200 grams
- Butter - 2 tablespoons (30 grams)
- Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Parmesan cheese (grated) - 2 tablespoons (15 grams)
Steps
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway until the shrimp turns pink and opaque.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover and steam for about 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
- Reduce the heat to low, return the shrimp to the skillet, and add the remaining tablespoon of butter and lemon juice. Toss to combine and heat through for another 1-2 minutes.
- Serve the shrimp and broccoli warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
