Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 300 grams
  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons (30 grams)
  • Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 2 tablespoons (15 grams)

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway until the shrimp turns pink and opaque.
  4. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover and steam for about 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  6. Reduce the heat to low, return the shrimp to the skillet, and add the remaining tablespoon of butter and lemon juice. Toss to combine and heat through for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve the shrimp and broccoli warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
