Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 300 grams
  • Asparagus (trimmed) - 200 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
  • Butter - 3 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes (optional) - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add the asparagus to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they start to become tender.
  4. Push the asparagus to one side of the skillet and add the shrimp to the other side.
  5. Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  6. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  7. Once the shrimp are cooked, add the lemon juice and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, stirring to combine everything.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
