Ingredients
- Italian sausage - 250 grams
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Yellow onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the Italian sausage to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced red and green bell peppers, and onion. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Add the minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables. Cook for another 5 minutes until everything is heated through.
