Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets - 2 pieces (150g each)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Butter - 50g
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper.
  3. Add 25g of butter to the skillet and let it melt, swirling it around to coat the pan.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  5. Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are cooked through and opaque.
  6. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  7. In the same skillet, add the remaining 25g of butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  8. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove from heat.
  9. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon fillets before serving.
