Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder - 500 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried rosemary - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chicken broth - 250 milliliters

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, dried rosemary, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
  3. Rub the olive oil all over the pork shoulder, then coat it evenly with the spice mixture.
  4. Place the pork roast in a roasting pan and pour the chicken broth around it.
  5. Cover the roast with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  6. After 1 hour, remove the foil and continue to roast for an additional 30-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 70°C (160°F).
  7. Once cooked, let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
