Ingredients

  • Pork chops - 2 pieces (200g each)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Heavy cream - 120ml
  • Chicken broth - 60ml
  • Parmesan cheese - 30g, grated
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, then add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until the sauce is smooth.
  8. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 63°C (145°F).
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
