Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce (no added sugar) - 200 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, almond flour, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into 12 meatballs, about 25 grams each.
  4. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the meatballs.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
