Ingredients

  • Fresh green beans - 300 grams
  • Cream cheese - 100 grams
  • Heavy cream - 120 ml
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Shredded cheddar cheese - 50 grams
  • Fried shallots - 30 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green, then immediately transfer to an ice bath.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, and mix until smooth.
  4. Add the blanched green beans to the cream mixture and stir until the beans are well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with fried shallots before serving.
