Ingredients
- White fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia) - 250 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Shredded lettuce - 1 cup
- Diced tomatoes - 1/2 cup
- Avocado - 1 small, sliced
- Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) - 1/2 cup
- Sour cream - 2 tablespoons
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Almond flour - 1 cup
- Egg - 1 large
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the fish fillets to the marinade and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- While the fish is marinating, prepare the taco shells by mixing almond flour and the egg in a bowl until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each into a thin disc on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake the almond flour discs in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden and firm.
- While the taco shells are baking, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and flaky.
- Once the fish is cooked, break it into bite-sized pieces.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the fish in the almond flour shells and topping with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Keto Fish Tacos!
