Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia) - 250 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Shredded lettuce - 1 cup
  • Diced tomatoes - 1/2 cup
  • Avocado - 1 small, sliced
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) - 1/2 cup
  • Sour cream - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Almond flour - 1 cup
  • Egg - 1 large

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the fish fillets to the marinade and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. While the fish is marinating, prepare the taco shells by mixing almond flour and the egg in a bowl until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each into a thin disc on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake the almond flour discs in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden and firm.
  7. While the taco shells are baking, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and flaky.
  8. Once the fish is cooked, break it into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Assemble the tacos by placing the fish in the almond flour shells and topping with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy your Keto Fish Tacos!
