Ingredients
- Beef cube steaks - 2 pieces (about 200 grams each)
- Almond flour - 1 cup (100 grams)
- Pork rinds (crushed) - 1/2 cup (50 grams)
- Eggs - 2 large
- Heavy cream - 1/4 cup (60 ml)
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter - 2 tablespoons (30 grams)
- Beef broth - 1 cup (240 ml)
- Parsley (chopped) - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) to keep the cooked steaks warm.
- In a shallow bowl, combine almond flour, crushed pork rinds, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until well combined.
- Dip each cube steak into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the almond flour mixture, pressing to adhere.
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded steaks and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked steaks to a baking dish and place in the preheated oven to keep warm while you prepare the gravy.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and pour in the beef broth, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to reduce slightly.
- Serve the chicken fried steaks with the gravy poured over the top and garnish with chopped parsley.
