Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts - 400 grams
  • 200 grams fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter - 30 grams
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil - 15 milliliters
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice - 15 milliliters
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams (optional for garnish)

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and dried thyme on both sides.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  5. Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender yet crisp.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, pour lemon juice over the top, and toss everything to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
