Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts - 300 grams
  • 4 strips of bacon - 100 grams
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil - 15 ml
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder - 5 grams
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder - 5 grams
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika - 5 grams
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese - 50 grams
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley - 5 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving some fat in the skillet.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  4. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sear the chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish. Crumble the cooked bacon over the chicken and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 75°C or 165°F).
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
