Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts - 300 grams
- 4 strips of bacon - 100 grams
- 1 tablespoon olive oil - 15 ml
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder - 5 grams
- 1 teaspoon onion powder - 5 grams
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika - 5 grams
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese - 50 grams
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley - 5 grams
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving some fat in the skillet.
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and sear the chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish. Crumble the cooked bacon over the chicken and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 75°C or 165°F).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
