- 500g ground beef
- 1 small head of green cabbage, chopped (about 300g)
- 1 small onion, diced (about 100g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g diced tomatoes (canned)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is slightly softened.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
