Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Cheddar cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Sour cream - 2 tablespoons
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the spices are well incorporated.
  4. While the beef is cooking, prepare the cheese taco shells. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and form 4 small circles with the shredded cheddar cheese, about 10 cm in diameter.
  5. Bake the cheese in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
  6. Remove the cheese from the oven and let it cool slightly. While still warm, gently shape the cheese into taco shells by draping them over an inverted muffin tin or similar object.
  7. To assemble, take a lettuce leaf and fill it with the seasoned ground beef. Add sliced avocado, a dollop of sour cream, and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
  8. Serve the tacos immediately and enjoy your delicious Keto meal!
